Microwave spectrum of nitramide
Abstract
Microwave spectra have been measured for the isotopic species NH 2NO 2, NHDNO 2, and ND 2NO 2. The nitro-amine structure is confirmed and a non-planar conformation with inversion indicated. In all cases, the Boltzmann factor between the first two inversion levels is indistinguishable from unity and in ND 2NO 2 the inversion is observed directly near 1 cm 1. Structural parameters obtained are: NH = 1.005 ± 0.01Å, NN = 1.427 ± 0.002Å, NO = 1.206 assumed, ON̂O = 130°8' ± 15', HN̂H = 115°11' ± 2°. Angle between NH 2 plane and NNO 2 plane = φ = 51°47' ± 1°. The μa component of the dipole moment is measured as 3.57 ± 0.05D.
