An eclipsing variable in the Andromeda Nebula (M31)
Abstract
An eclipsing system of Lyrae type, the bluest of over 500 stars studied in its region, shows the following characteristics: Min = 2433978d.653 +4d8050E, M = 20W20, rn1 =2 imOS, m2 = 20w47. The system, tentatively employed in determining the distance of M3t, gives 980 000+350 000 pc.
