Studies of the Large Magellanic Cloud. VII. The Open Cluster NGC 1844.
Abstract
Colors and magnitudes of members of the compact cluster NGC 1844 in the Large Magellanic Cloud provide a color-magnitude diagram similar to that of NGC 4755 in our Galaxy. The four supergiant stars are bluer than expected; they do not agree in color with the members of a similar cluster in the Small Cloud. The supergiants show a remarkably small range in color and large range in luminosity.
