The Redpoll in New Zealand : Interbreeding Sub-species
Abstract
SINCE the opportunity of studying an animal population in which interbreeding and genetical mixing between two hitherto good and mainly allopatric sub-species is taking place must be relatively uncommon, it may be of interest to report on the discovery and preliminary investigation of a situation of this kind occurring in New Zealand.
