Standard Stars for Photoelectric Spectrophotometry.
Abstract
The energy distributions in the spectra of six early-type stars scattered evenly over all right ascensions have been compared with that of a Lyr between X 3390 and X 6000. The measurements were made with a photoelectric spectrum-scanning instrument. The mean errors in the relative monochromatic magnitudes are no more than 0.007 between 3900 and X 5300 and 0.021 elsewhere in the spectrum. These errors are sufficiently small that the stars can be used as standards for any observations of absolute energy distributions
