The Atmospheres of the B Stars. VIII. The Precise Calculation of Balmer Line Profiles.

Kolb's and Griem's accurate theory of the Balmer line absorption coefficients permits the calculation of precise profiles of HT for the model atmospheres of early-type stars. The line profiles are shown to be deepened, in most instances, by no more than about 2 per cent over the values previously obtained with Kolb's approximate theory.
