A Statistical Investigation of Sunspot Observations with Special Reference to H. ALFVÉN'S Sunspot Model.

After a brief account of the properties of the autoregressive scheme, a double autoregression is fitted to the observed sunspot intensities in the northern and southern solar hemispheres. The results obtained confirm H. Alfven's theory of sunspot generation and give evidence of a number of new phenomena.
