Effects of a Primeval Endowment of U236

The effects of a primeval endowment of U²³⁶ upon theories pertaining to the evolution of the elements, the thermal history of the earth, and geochronology are considered. It is shown that the present thorium to uranium ratio, early volcanism on the earth and on the moon, as well as corrections to the dating of rocks and meteorites may be related to an initial abundance of the isotope, if certain assumptions are made.
