Intensity measures of the absorption lines Hγ, Hδ, H∊E, and He I λλ 4471, 4388, 4144, 4026, and 4009 have been made in the spectra of fourteen Be stars, all of which have shown spectral variations in the past. Comparisons are made with previous measures where available and also with the ratios Hδ/Hγ and the singlet/triplet helium-line ratios of normal B-type stars. 59 Cygni shows a large decrease in intensity of all the lines studied, and numerical values of this decrease are given for each line. Brief descriptions of the spectra are given. The ratio Hδ/Hγ is approximately constant for the stars studied, except for νCyg, 6 Cep, and βPsc, which show emission at Hγ and have a high value of the ratio. The chief factors affecting the intensities of the lines are discussed.
