Bruce proper motion survey
Abstract
In the course of the Proper Motion Survey of the Southern Hemisphere, a large number of stars with common motion were found. Two lists of these, together with a discussion of the orbital motion and period of revolution to be expected have been published, since then another 800 similar pairs have been found, but in compiling the final catalogue, requirements for inclusion have been made more rigid than before. All pairs have been rejected for which the proper motions were so discordant, or so small, or the separation so large as to render physical connection between them at all questionable. There remain 832 pairs which it is felt are probably genuinely related. Data for these are gathered in the present catalogue.
