Production of neutron-excess nuclei in 56Fe-induced reactions
Abstract
The observation of new neutron-rich isotopes of 52-53Sc, 54-55Ti, 56V, and 58-59Cr produced in damped collisions of 8.3 MeV/u 56Fe ions with 238U and 209Bi is reported. Tentative identification for 56Ti, 57-58V, 60Cr, 61Mn, and 63Fe is also presented. NUCLEAR REACTIONS 238U(56Fe, HI), E=8.3 MeV/u; nuclide identification and σ measurement for 52-53Sc, 54-55Ti, 56V, and 58-59Cr; tentative for 56Ti, 57-58V, 60Cr, 61Mn, and 63Fe.
