Stellar convection
Abstract
Time-dependent convection theory and non-local convection theory are described. The difference between the convection theories results from the different treatment of the nonlinear terms of the hydrodynamic equations. A better undertanding of the thermodynamic coupling between convection and oscillations is achieved in comparison with the dynamic coupling.
