The kinematics of cyclotron emission for quantized electrons
Abstract
The kinematics of gyroemission in superstrong magnetic fields is discussed. Energy and momentum conservation equations are derived, a velocity space is defined, and two resonant ellipses are derived, one for the initial state and one for the final state. Three geometrical cases of these ellipses are discussed, and maser action in the quantum case is briefly addressed.
