Synthesis 6 CM images of 22 strong southern radio sources.

In the course of a search for southern compact sources for use as calibrators for the Australia Telescope, 221 Parkes Catalogue sources which are south of -30 deg declination and which are listed as being stronger than 1 Jy at either 2.7 or 5 GHz were observed. Of these, 77 were found to be compact and are now used routinely as calibrators, and the remaining 144 sources were extended. The paper shows images of 22 of these strong extended sources and presents a table showing the optical identifications, radio flux densities, and positions of these sources.
