Ultrasonic/sonochemical synthesis and evaluation of nanostructured oil in water emulsions for topical delivery of protein drugs
Abstract
Protein extracted from a medicinal leech tissue, to formulate nanoemulsion. Isotropic & kinetically stable nanoemulsion form with least surfactant. Protein nanoemulsion with optimal solubility & stability for topical drug delivery. Oil types & content effects on size & protein nanoemulsion stability studied. Optimized formulation of protein nanoemulsion in each sonication test determined.
