SlAREB1 transcriptional activation of NOR is involved in abscisic acid-modulated ethylene biosynthesis during tomato fruit ripening
Abstract
The peak of SlAREB1 expression is prior to NOR during the ripening process. The expression of SlAREB1 and NOR are both ABA inducible. SlAREB1 can bind to the promoter of NOR and activate NOR transcription. Transient over-expression of SlAREB1 induces the expression of NOR in tomato fruits. Transient over-expression of SlAREB1 promotes ethylene synthesis.
