Passively Q-switched c-cut Nd:YVO4 laser using graphene-oxide as a saturable absorber
Abstract
We demonstrate a passively Q-switched c-cut Nd:YVO4 laser based on graphene-oxide (GO) as a saturable absorber (SA). The Q-switched laser has a low pump threshold of 1.5W. The pulse repetition rate can be widely changed from 62kHz to 386kHz by increasing the pump power from 1.5W to 3W. The minimum pulse width is 246ns and the maximum average output power is 514mW.
