Recovery of phosphoric acid from Egyptian Nile Valley phosphate tailings
Abstract
Nile Valley phosphate tailings can be processed with hydrochloric acid under atmospheric pressure, yielding phosphoric acid. A reaction efficiency of 99% was achieved under ambient temperature using 21.3% HCl acid concentration for 1 hr. The optimal conditions of leaching were determined.
