The planar sector of field theories

The full field-theoretic apparatus for the description of planar field theories is developed including planar generating functionals and planar Dyson-Scwinnger equations. Is is shown that planar field theory is characterized by continued fractoins rather than exponentials. Planar QCD is studied in detail and the planar Ward identities are derived.
