Boltzmann-Langevin equation, dynamical instability and multifragmentation

By using simulations of the Boltzmann-Langevin equation which incorporates dynamical fluctuations beyond usual transport theories and by coupling it with a coalescence model, we obtain information on multifragmentation in heavy-ion collisions. From a calculation of the ⁴⁰Ca+ ⁴⁰Ca system, we can compute with confidence physical observables related to recent multifragmentation data.
