Laboratory Impact Study on Velocity of the Fastest Ejecta from Porous Small Bodies
Abstract
We conducted laboratory impact experiments in order to study velocity filed of ejecta from porous targets with porosity of 40-94 %. We showed the fastest ejecta velocity depends on porosity and impact velocity and much lower than those of rocks.
