3D structure of CMEs observed with STEREO/SECCHI
Abstract
Since launch in October 2006, the SECCHI remote sensing suites on board the two STEREO spacecraft have observed so far more than 300 coronal mass ejections (CMEs) at increasing angular separation. Using SECCHI and additionally SOHO/MDI/EIT observations, we have studied the CME 3D structure and source regions for these events. Here we present a summary of first results of this analysis performed within the framework of the EU FP7 project SOTERIA.
