Hinode/SOT Helioseismic Observations
Abstract
Helioseismic observations by the Hinode Solar Optical Telescope (SOT) are reviewed. The benefit of the SOT high-resolution capability for local helioseismology has already been demonstrated in mapping subsurface flows and {revealing the fine structure of umbral flashes}. The phase relations between the photospheric and the chromospheric oscillations in the sub-critical frequency range are also discussed, as are possible future directions of the SOT helioseismology programme.
