Stream-limited transport of Solar Energetic Particles
Abstract
By using the SoHO CELIAS H STOF data we compare the behavior of He H abundance ratio at different energy range and their relationship to the evolution of the proton spectra in small and large solar energetic events The enhancements of the ratio He H predicted by the stream-limit theory Ng et al 1999 are shown in both small and large events with the difference of their appearance at different energy range large events at higher energy range i e 1600 4000 keV nuc while small events at lower energy range i e 200 800 keV nuc This result indicates that self-generated waves are general phenomena in the acceleration and the transport of solar energetic particles in interplanetary space
