Dynamic Simulation of a Crystal Lattice under Impulse Loading
Abstract
We are simulating a 3-D solid system using a 6-12 potential. The spectral response of the atoms is analyzed as a function of atom position and time. An analysis of the radiated electromagnetic fields due to the shock is also presented. Defects and imperfections are incorporated in the calculations. Results are displayed using 3-D animation.
