Dynamical Properties of Single and Double 3D Null Points
Abstract
The dynamical reconnection properties of three-dimensional single and double nulls are investigated using nonlinear simulations. The authors confirm the importance of the three-dimensional topological structures - the spine, fan, and separator - in the reconnection process. In particular, they highlight the accumulated current structures in relation to the underlying magnetic field topology as reconnection proceeds.
