Solar Flare Telescope project.
Abstract
The Solar Flare Telescope was built at Mitaka in 1989. This instrument comprises four telescopes which observe (1) Hα images, (2) continuum images, (3) vector magnetic fields, and (4) Doppler velocities, respectively. The instrument aims at the study of energy build-up and energy release in solar flares, in cooperation with the Solar-A satellite (Yohkoh). The Solar Flare Telescope has been in operation since 1990 December.
