Incommensurate Superlattice in Mo-Substituted Bi 4V 2O 11
Abstract
A Bi 2V (1- x) Mo xO (11+ x)/2 solid solution derived from Bi 4V 2O 11 has been prepared and characterized with x up to 0.225. The ability to introduce Mo into the [V] site of Bi 4V 2O 11 leads to the stabilization of a β incommensurate phase at room temperature.
