Propagation of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves in the solar transition region and corona.
Abstract
The propagation of MHD waves in the solar transition region and the corona is discussed. It is shown that the non-compressive Alfvén mode is the best candidate for energy transport into the corona and in the solar wind.
