Near infrared survey of IRAS sources with colours like planetary nebulae. II.
Abstract
Near infrared standard photometry (J, H, K, L and M bands) of 38 IRAS sources with far infrared colours similar to those of known planetary nebulae is presented. They are classified according to their infrared global energy distribution from 1 to 100 micron though it is not possible to reach a definitive conclusion about their evolutionary stage, there are clear indications that most of them are in the transition phase from AGB and post-AGB stars to proto-planetary and planetary nebulae.
