Two new Seyfert galaxies from the IRAS Point Source Catalogue.
Abstract
Two sources selected from the IRAS Point Source Catalogue (PSC) have been spectroscopically identified as galaxies with a Seyfert type active nucleus. The brightest of the two sources, IRAS 20210 + 1121, is in close interaction with a companion galaxy at a projected distance of 1.1 kpc and has a perturbed spiral-like morphology. This galaxy presents some features which make it a candidate for an obscured Seyfert type 1. The second source, IRAS 01475-0740, has an elliptical morphology and might be located at the centre of a group of galaxies.
