WSRT observations at 327 MHz of the cluster A 262.
Abstract
We present observations at 327 MHz, carried out with the WSRT in the redundancy mode, of the Abell cluster A262. The large field of view of the telescope allowed us to survey 115 CGCG galaxies, 9 of which show radio emission. A double radio source has been found to be possibly associated with NGC 679. No extended low brightness <<halo>> has been found in the cluster center. The radial distribution of radio galaxies was derived up to 100' from the cluster center. To this aim, optical plates, obtained with the Loiano telescope, were analysed to obtain accurate morphological classification and the radial distribution of galaxies. There is no evidence that the probability of producing a radio source is influenced by the position within the cluster.
