The H, K and IR triplet of Ca II in plages.
Abstract
The observed profiles of Ca II lines H, K, λ8498, λ8542, λ8662 are obtained and the model chromospheres are derived for plages of different brightness. The calculations involve the program of non-LTE spectra analysis. The density in the bright plages is of an order of 2 higher than that of the undisturbed chromosphere. The models of weak plages do not differ significantly from the undisturbed model chromosphere.
