Effect of the time structure of an electron-injection current pulse on the dynamics of plasma oscillations
Abstract
The dynamics of plasma oscillations excited near a satellite is analyzed as a function of the time structure of the electron-injection current pulse. Data from the Electron Echo and Araks electron-injection experiments in the upper atmosphere are examined. It is shown that amplitude variations of the plasma oscillations are affected significantly by the front curvature and modulation of the electron-injection current.
