Entry and dissipation of energy in the Earth's magnetosphere
Abstract
After a brief overview on topography and the flow of energy in the earth's magnetosphere the authors will first focus on the different processes by which solar wind energy enters the earth's magnetosphere. Subsequently they will discuss some aspects of that process by which most of this energy is dissipated, namely the magnetospheric substorm.
