Contribution of nebular emission lines to IRAS photometric survey fluxes.
Abstract
In a recent paper (Pottasch et al., 1984) far-infrared IRAS measurements of 46 planetary nebulae were presented and discussed. It was also pointed out that line emission could contribute significantly to the observed fluxes, especially in the 12 μm band. The authors examine in detail this problem, presenting also results of a best-fit of line emissivities as a function of electron density and temperature.
