Periodic Terms in the Light Elements of XX CEP and RW Per
Abstract
A periodic term to explain period changes of the eclipsing binary XX Cep has been suggested previously (e.g., Kopal, 1965). It is shown here that the term (period 64.2 years, amplitude 0.0371 day) represents data better than two sudden period changes; however, the crucial early data are of rather low accuracy. One new time of a primary minimum is given. Also in the case of the eclipsing binary RW Per the periodic term (period 67.6 years, amplitude 0.096 day) fits the data well.
