Atomic calculation for Fe XXIII, UV, and X-ray lines.
Abstract
Electron-ion scattering data have been obtained for the configurations 22, 2s2p, 2p2, 2s3s, 2s3p, and 2s3d of Fe XXIII in the "distorted wave" approximation. Oscillator and collision strengths are compared with other calculations. Wavelengths for various UV and X-ray lines are compared with laboratory measurements. New identifications are given for recent solar spectra based on intensity estimates. A line at 11.737 Å is identified as the strongest Fe XXIII line in the solar X-ray spectrum.
