Stimulated Brillouin scattering in the ionosphere
Abstract
We discuss the possibility of obtaining stimulated backscattering from the ionosphere. It is found that stimulated Brillouin scattering off ion modes and quasi modes may be possible with the signal power that is planned for the Eiscat radar.
