Photoelectric photometry and interpretation of the Puppis cluster NGC 2483.
Abstract
Summary. Photoelectric UBV, p photometry confirms that NGC 2483 is not a physical cluster. The majority of uniformly reddened stars earlier than B 5 are distributed within the distance interval containing Pup OB 2 with a concentration at 3.6 kpc. The existence of more heavily reddened early B stars located in a more distant spiral feature (15 kpe arm) is not confirmed. Key words: galactic clusters galactic structure photoelectric photometry
