Copernicus: X-ray observations of several radio supernova remnants.
Abstract
The MSSL X-ray detectors on Copernicus have observed five radio sources, 3C 392, DR4, MSHI5-52A and Downes Nos 83 and 84 in the energy range - keV. The first three objects are thought to be supernova remnants. We present here upper limits from our observations and in the case of 3C 392 a possible positive detection of X-ray emission. We also comment on the variability of the X-ray source 3U 1901 + 03.
