Studies of Granular Velocities. IV: Statistical Analysis of Granular Doppler-Shifts
Abstract
We present a statistical analysis of local Doppler shifts measured in the line λ6302.5 of Fe I. The main results are: If the oscillatory component is separated from the fluctuations of velocity, a granular rms velocity of about 200 m s−1 is left over, which is strongly influenced by seeing.
