On the Spring Maximum of Radioactive Fallout from Nuclear Test Explosions
Abstract
Some results of measurements are presented pertaining to the maximum of fallout which was observed during the spring of the last few years. Evidence is presented that the height of this maximum is chiefly determined by the amount of radioactive debris present in the temperate or polar lower stratosphere, whereas seasonal factors determine the time of appearance of the maximum.
